Who We Are
FreshLens Chicago is a tuition-free photography program for under-resourced high school students. Our Event Corp is comprised of a group of students who have taken at least three 8-week classes in photography. Aside from fundamental photography skills, FreshLens works to nurture the students' confidence, storytelling and composition in the field.
While our students are not professional photographers, they are well-equipped to handle a variety of appropriate events. These include weekend daytime happenings such as birthday parties, family gatherings, student activities, athletic events, and collaborations with other non-profit organizations in the Chicago area. Please note that our students do not photograph weddings, and not all events may be suitable due to their age and experience.
Rates
Based on the project and the student skillset required, we have a sliding rate card starting at $150 for the first two hours with a higher rate commanded by our more experienced students and alum affiliated with the program.
All images need post-processing edits following the shoot, you can expect to be billed for a minimum of two hours.
Editing: $50/hr (approx. two hours)
What You’ll Get
Students will shoot, edit, and send photographs digitally via WeTransfer within two weeks from the day of the event.
A 50% deposit will be required before the event.
Full payment is due upon the day of the event.
