FreshLens Chicago Receives a Grant from IAC

FreshLens Chicago acknowledges support from the Illinois Arts Council

We are pleased to announce that we have received a generous $7,500 grant from the IAC for general operation in 2027! We also received another $2,720 grant from IAC for Youth Employment in the Arts. This support helps us continue providing tuition-free photography education to Chicago youth, giving students access to the tools, instruction, and creative opportunities they need to grow their skills and confidence.

This fundingnstrengthens FreshLens as an organization by increasing our capacity to engage youth in our programming and community activities. Most importantly, it helps create a pathway for students to continue developing their skills after completing our courses, demonstrating that the arts can be both a creative outlet and a meaningful avenue for future education and employment.
