FreshLens Chicago Receives 2026 NBCUniversal Local Impact Grant

We are proud to announce that FreshLens Chicago is a winner of NBCUniversal’s 2026 Local Impact Grants. Comcast NBCUniversal has granted $2.5 million this year to nonprofits that are strengthening our communities.

By winning this grant, we hope to continue driving impact in our community. Grant programs like this help us achieve our mission of providing tuition-free photography education to under-resourced Chicago youth, helping them build confidence, life skills, creative expression, and workforce readiness while fostering growth and creating positive change in our local community.

With this newly won grant, FreshLens Chicago will continue expanding access to high-quality arts education and creative opportunities for Chicago youth.

We will use the funding to support our photography programs, provide students with the equipment and resources they need to succeed, and create opportunities for them to showcase their work and develop their skills. This grant is more than an award to our program - it is a celebration of our mission and we are very happy to share this exciting opportunity for growth.
