Fozhan Bozorgi
Fozhan Bozorgi is a senior at Nicholas Senn High School and is originally from Iran. She practices karate and is a karate coach for kids. She speaks Farsi and loves to sing. She has had two performances at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Opera House Chicago.
She enjoys street photography because she lives in Chicago, a city full of buildings and interesting architecture. She became interested in learning photography to help her mother, a calligraphy artist, by photographing her work for selling purposes. Fozhan has had a passion for photography for a long time, but never had her own professional camera. Photography makes her feel free to capture anything she finds meaningful.

Jacob Cipolla
Jacob Cipolla is a junior at Lane Tech High School. He was born and raised in Chicago. Jacon is extremely athletic and currently plays hockey, golf, and lacrosse. As well as having played baseball, basketball, soccer, and flag football through Lane Tech.
In his work, Jacob enjoys capturing architecture as well as people in urban areas. Jacob has always enjoyed using photography as a way to store memories of past experiences, and this enjoyment is what sparked his interest in other forms of photography.

Tyi’Shon Colbert
Tyi’Shon Colbert is a sophomore at Lake View High School. She is originally from Kansas City, Missouri and moved to Chicago last year. Tyi’Shon is a published author of two poetry books and enjoys being involved in theater productions.
She loves street photography because she enjoys capturing people in their natural environment. She has always enjoyed taking photos to preserve moments in time. Photography helps her show the beauty that some people may not notice or appreciate because of how caught up we can become in daily life.

Delia den Bleyker Fanelli
Delia den Bleyker Fanelli is a sophomore at Nicholas Senn High School and a south side artist. In addition to being a dedicated figure skater and poet laureate with a passion for literary analysis, she has recently found inspiration behind the lens.
Through her photography, Delia aims to capture the depth and often overlooked complexities of the natural world. She focuses on photographing flowers to highlight the intrinsic beauty of plants that many people admire, but may not fully understand.

Oliver Flores
Oliver Flores is a freshman at Lake View High School. He was born and raised in Chicago. He enjoys playing volleyball and badminton. Ever since he was a child, Oliver has been an artist. He spent a lot of time drawing, including creating his own original characters, and began writing stories to go along with them. He wanted to create stories and artwork that people could connect with, enjoy, and be impacted by.
Oliver’s interest in photography began simply by wanting to capture things he personally found visually appealing. He would photograph flowers, beautiful scenery, as well as dirty areas and run-down buildings. Through photography, he hopes to share his appreciation for these subjects with others. Like drawing and writing, photography is another creative outlet he uses to communicate with people.
Oliver wants to show how pretty, colorful, and vibrant the world can be, while also revealing how dark, dirty, and gray it can sometimes feel. His brighter work contrasts with his more derelict imagery, highlighting the many different sides of his art. Through his photography, he hopes to evoke a wide range of emotions.

Beatriz Gomez
Beatriz Gomez is a junior at Nicholas Senn High School and is originally from Galicia, Spain. She moved to Chicago one year ago. Bea loves traveling and visiting new places whenever she gets the chance, as she enjoys learning about different cultures, traditions, and architecture.
Bea especially enjoys street photography and capturing colorful, vintage-style images. She has a small vintage camera that was gifted to her several years ago, which she always carried with her to capture meaningful moments. That experience inspired her love of photography. Through her work, Bea hopes to preserve memories that evoke nostalgia and bring a smile to people when they look back at them.

Ning Muan
Ning Muan is a junior at Lane Tech High School and she is from the west side of Chicago. Ning enjoys playing volleyball in her free time as well as playing the bass and acoustic guitar. Ning loves photographing people because of the emotions they experience. She has had an interest in photography ever since she used a camera for the first time in 5th grade in her photojournalism class as she had a way to capture moments in time.
Photography helps her look back on meaningful moments in her life that have given her valuable experiences and helped shape who she is today. In turn, she hopes to help others capture their own special moments as well.

Brittany Naverrete
Brittany Navarrete is a freshman at CICS Northtown Academy. She is from the north side of Chicago. Brittany enjoys spending time with her friends and exploring the environment around her. Brittany is especially drawn to photographing architecture and patterns because they capture the life and spaces people have built for themselves.
She became interested in photography at a young age after seeing photos of buildings downtown. Those images eventually inspired her to begin taking her own architectural photographs wherever she went. Photography helps Brittany slow down and take a closer look at the environments people have adapted to and created around them.

Vanessa Saavedra Ortiz
Vanessa Saavedra Ortiz is a senior at Eric Solorio Academy. She is a street and lifestyle photographer based in Chicago, IL. Her work focuses on capturing the raw, unscripted energy of modern architecture and creating a compelling narrative. By contrasting gritty, desaturated environments with vibrant subjects, she emphasizes moments of energy in otherwise quiet spaces. Growing up, she was always drawn to the details most people didn’t pay much attention to.
She was fascinated by how color could easily evoke a mood. Influenced by color psychology, she allows her photographs to have a sense of emotion, spanning everything from modern architecture to human connection.

Naiara Ramlal
Naiara Ramlal is a junior and is homeschooled. She was born in Wisconsin and raised in Chicago. She loves animals, sunsets, and attending her youth group. Naiara enjoys photographing a variety of subjects, including objects, nature, and street photography. As a child, she loved taking pictures with her Polaroid camera.
She continued taking photos on her phone until she discovered FreshLens Chicago, which became an amazing opportunity for her to further explore photography. Through her photography, Naiara hopes to share the world through her eyes. She wants people to find joy in the small things in life and to reflect the love of Jesus through her lens.

Andy Velazquez
Andy Velazquez is a senior at Lake View High School. He is from the Irving Park neighborhood in Chicago. Andy also enjoys many hobbies such as baking, skating, film, and photography. He enjoys being outdoors and loves capturing the essence of people, but particularly abandoned buildings and secluded spaces due to the history and stories they hold, even if they are never seen or heard.
Andy uses his phone or camcorder to capture moments, but became really interested in photography when he heard there was an opportunity to receive a camera from FreshLens Chicago. David Lynch and Kane Parsons are his biggest inspirations when it comes to film and photography. Their work carries a heavy feeling of eeriness and mystery, with a hint of comfort.
